Acceptance of these terms
These terms form the agreement between you and Shaglee. By opening the site or starting a chat, you accept them — if you disagree with anything here, the only remedy is to stop using the service.
They apply to everything Shaglee offers: the public pages, random video matching, text and voice chat, and any paid features built on coins. Our privacy policy explains the data side and counts as part of this agreement.
What Shaglee is
Shaglee is a free video chat platform that pairs strangers for one-on-one conversations in the browser. You can start without paying: basic matching and chatting are free to try.
Optional features run on coins, a virtual item you can purchase to unlock longer or premium sessions. Prices and what a coin buys are shown inside the product before you pay — the display at checkout is the authoritative version, not this page.
Shaglee introduces you to other people; it does not employ them, verify their identities, or guarantee what any conversation will be like. Features may be added, changed, or retired as the product evolves, and uninterrupted availability is not promised.
Who can use it
You must be of legal age to use this kind of service where you live, and by using Shaglee you confirm that you are. If local law where you are restricts random video chat, it is your responsibility not to use the platform there.
Shaglee is available in many countries but not everywhere, and we do not claim otherwise — access from a particular place is not a promise that using the service is lawful there.
Your account
Some features require an account; when you create one, keep the sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Do not sell, lend, or share yours, and do not register with information that belongs to someone else.
Coins and payments
Coins are virtual items that exist only inside Shaglee. They are not money, not a deposit, and not an investment, and they cannot be transferred to another user or converted back into cash.
Purchases are processed by third-party payment providers under their own terms. Whether a refund is available depends on the policy of the payment channel you used and the law that applies to you — if you believe a charge was wrong, contact us before disputing it with your bank, since unexplained chargebacks can lead to account restrictions.
Acceptable use
The full rules live in our community guidelines, which are part of these terms. The short version: treat the person on the other side the way you would want a stranger to treat you.
- No harassment, threats, hate, or pressure of any kind
- No sexual behaviour directed at unwilling partners, and nothing involving minors
- No scams — never ask other users for money, gift cards, or account details
- No recording or republishing someone without their consent
- No impersonation of other people or of Shaglee staff
- No bots, scrapers, or attempts to break or probe the platform
- No use of Shaglee for anything illegal where you or the other person lives
Content and conduct
Whatever you say, show, or send during a session is your content and your responsibility. You give Shaglee the limited licence it needs to transmit and display that content so the service can function — nothing more.
Remember that the person you are talking to can see and hear everything you present, and nothing technical stops them from capturing it with another device. Share only what you are comfortable existing beyond the call.
Moderation and enforcement
Shaglee combines automated systems with human review of reports to keep the platform usable. Depending on what a review finds, consequences range from a warning to feature limits, suspension, or a permanent ban.
We act on credible reports rather than supervising every conversation live, so the report and block tools matter — using them is the fastest way to get a problem in front of a person who can act on it.
Termination
You can stop using Shaglee whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account through the contact page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that the law requires us to act on, or that puts other users at risk.
Where an account is closed because of a serious violation, unused coins are generally forfeited rather than refunded.
Disclaimers
Shaglee is provided as-is and as available. We do not warrant that the service will always be online, that matching will always be instant, or that every session will be pleasant — a free video chat platform depends on real people, and people vary.
We also cannot vouch for what other users say, claim, or do. Anything another person tells you on Shaglee is their statement, not ours, and you should treat requests for money or personal details with suspicion no matter who appears to make them.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law permits, Shaglee is not liable for indirect or consequential losses — things like lost profits, lost data, or the outcome of interactions between users.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability that applies to us under mandatory consumer-protection law where you live.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms as the product and the law change, and the date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continuing to use Shaglee after an update means accepting the new terms, so check back occasionally if that matters to you.
